Muhammad Ali: Float Like A Butterfly…

Every sport has an icon: one person who defines what that sport looks, sounds, and feels like. In the boxing world, there is no single fighter who could be said to have a greater claim to that title than Muhammad Ali. Ali changed the sport of boxing, flipped it on its head, and, in-so-doing became the inspiration of all the young boxers who followed in his “butterfly-like” footsteps. But, perhaps, even more impressively, Muhammad Ali changed the way all athletes are regarded.

The U.S. Election: What Is Going On?

In the United States, there are two main political parties: The Democrats and the Republicans. Each party picks a leader, and then those leaders go head-to-head in a big election for president.

Donald Trump has emerged as the person who will be the leader of the Republic Party in the U.S. The leader of the Democratic Party hasn’t been decided yet; Hilary Clinton seems most likely to win, although Bernie Sanders still stands a chance of winning; there are others still in the race as well, although they are not as likely to win.

The big election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016.

Canadians Helping People Of Fort McMurray

Many people across Canada are helping the residents of Fort McMurray.
There have been many stories of courage and compassion towards the city and the people who come from there.
On May 1, a wildfire started in a forest near the Alberta town of Fort McMurray. Within two days, the fire grew larger and the people who lived in Fort McMurray had to leave their homes.

Invictus Games Coming To Toronto In 2017

Toronto had a special visitor last week. The United Kingdom’s Prince Henry of Wales — better known as Prince Harry — was in town to announce that Toronto will host the Invictus Games in 2017.

The Invictus Games are similar to the Olympics or the Paralympics, except that the competitors are all soldiers–most of them wounded from combat.
