Harry, Meghan Get Married

No longer is she simply Meghan Markle, an actress and activist. Now, she will be known as the Duchess of Sussex.
Last Saturday, Markle married a prince–Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, grandson of Queen Elizabeth and brother of Prince William.
In front of a crowd of about 600 people in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle–and tens of thousands more who stood outside in the streets of London and millions around the world who watched on TV–England’s Prince Harry married US-born Meghan Markle.

Harry’s Gettin’ Hitched

Britain’s Prince Harry is going to tie the knot.
He recently proposed to American actress Meghan Markle, and she said “yes.”
They announced their engagement on Nov. 27, appearing together before the media.
Harry, 33, is Queen Elizabeth’s grandson and he’s fifth in line to the throne. His mother is the late Princess Diana and his father is Prince Charles.

Theresa May’s Majority Becomes A Minority

The British Prime Minister may be regretting her decision to call an early election.
Theresa May and her political party, the Conservative Party, were the leaders in the UK (United Kingdom). They had a “majority” government. (In other words, they had more “seats”—or representatives—in the House of Commons than all of the other political parties, combined.) That’s important, because having a majority means that you can really get things done—you won’t be voted down by the other parties. May hoped that by holding an election, she could expand her majority even more.
However, things didn’t go as she planned.

Invictus Games Coming To Toronto In 2017

Toronto had a special visitor last week. The United Kingdom’s Prince Henry of Wales — better known as Prince Harry — was in town to announce that Toronto will host the Invictus Games in 2017.

The Invictus Games are similar to the Olympics or the Paralympics, except that the competitors are all soldiers–most of them wounded from combat.
